In the morning, panoramic city tour; we will contemplate its medieval origins such as the Arab fortress as we stroll through the Morería Quarter, characterized by the antiquity of its buildings and the flavors of its taverns; we will tour the Madrid of the Habsburgs with Felipe II and its Renaissance and Baroque buildings in Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and Plaza de la Villa; we will see the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban layout of Carlos III, the Royal Palace, the Fountain of Cibeles, Neptune, and the Puerta de Alcalá; we will admire the 19th-century works such as the elegant Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum; we will get to know contemporary Madrid with avenues such as Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, Barrio de Salamanca, West Park, University City, commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. MADRID – SALAMANCA – OPORTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Salamanca. Free time in this university city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of great architectural and artistic richness, and departure to the Portuguese border until reaching Oporto. Accommodation.
OPORTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic tour of Porto, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will contemplate the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building, and the Church of Santa Clara. Then enjoy a different perspective of the city along the Douro River aboard a cruise and discover the historical heritage by visiting a well-known Port Wine Cellar with wine tasting included. OPORTO – COIMBRA – FATIMA
Breakfast. Departure to Coimbra, a city home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado. Free time. Continuation to Fatima. Center of Christian Faith and Sanctuary of World Pilgrimage with its impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria, the place where the Virgin Mary appeared. The Chapel of the Apparitions, the heart of the sanctuary, with the tombs of the three little shepherds, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. In the evening, the possibility of attending the candlelight procession. Accommodation.
FATIMA – BATALHA – NAZARE – ALCOBAÇA – LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Monastery of Batalha, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will continue to the picturesque fishing village of Nazaré. Free time and continuation to Alcobaça, with its Gothic church and Cistercian monastery, whose origins date back to the 12th century, and then Lisbon. Accommodation. Optional traditional typical dinner with Fado show (typical Portuguese folklore).
LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, city tour, formerly known as Olissipo, a tour through its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery (exterior), Monument to the Discoveries... Afternoon free to discover the nostalgic corners of this city, such as the Alfama District, or to take the optional excursion to Sintra and Cascais (UNESCO World Heritage Sites). LISBON – CACERES – CORDOBA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Cáceres, a UNESCO World Heritage City, an architectural blend of Romanesque, Islamic, Gothic, and Italian Renaissance. We will stroll through its old town, Medieval Quarter, and its Main Square. Continue south to Cordoba, the former capital of the Caliphate. Accommodation at the hotel.
CORDOBA – SEVILLE
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the impressive Mosque/Cathedral that will relax our minds and spirits to stroll through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter. Then, after a short journey of about two hours, arrival in Seville. Accommodation at the hotel.
SEVILLE
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, monumental and panoramic tour of the city, including entrance to the Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter's in Rome. Typical Santa Cruz Quarter, natural setting of "Carmen" as well as the place where the myth of "Don Juan" developed. Maria Luisa Park and Plaza de España. - Afternoon free to discover different perspectives and specific flavors of this active city full of light. Accommodation at the hotel. Optional visit to a Flamenco show.
SEVILLE – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast at the hotel, departure southbound along the White Villages route towards Ronda; free time to admire this city of Celtic origin with wonderful views of the valley and the mountains. In the afternoon, continue to one of the most modern and important areas of international tourist interest, the Costa del Sol. Accommodation at the hotel.
COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Granada and its incredible and amazing monumental surroundings, the last bastion of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada until 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex (entrance included) and the Generalife Gardens, fountains, gardens, courtyards that with their views and sounds have inspired authors like W. Irving in his "Tales of the Alhambra". Accommodation at the hotel. Optionally, flamenco Zambra show in the evening.
GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure northbound where, under the sky of Castilla and surrounded by the Tajo River, rises the impressive Imperial City of Toledo - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cradle of civilizations - where Christians, Muslims, and Jews coexisted. Extract of the art, history, and spirituality of the country, the whole city is a National Monument. Brief guided tour of this historic city, strolling through its old town through its narrow streets. Continue to Madrid. Accommodation at the hotel.
