MADRID

MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning panoramic tour of the city; we will contemplate its medieval origins such as the Arab fortress walking through the Barrio de la Morería, characterized by the antiquity of its buildings and the flavors of its inns; we will tour the courtly Madrid of the Habsburgs with Philip II and its Renaissance and Baroque buildings in the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; we will see the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban layout of Charles III, the Royal Palace, the Fountain of Cibeles, the Fountain of Neptune and the Puerta de Alcalá; we will admire the works of the nineteenth century such as the elegant Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum; we will get to know contemporary Madrid with avenues such as Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, Barrio de Salamanca, Parque del Oeste, Ciudad Universitaria, commercial and financial areas of Modern Madrid, and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. Late at your disposal. Overnight at the hotel.

MADRID - CORDOBA - SEVILLA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure heading south along the land of Don Quixote, "Man of La Mancha" passing by the typical inn of Don Quixote in Puerto Lápice. Through the natural passage of "Despeñaperros" we arrive in Andalusia, a region with an enormous heritage of a splendid past. Arrival in Cordoba. Visit its impressive Mosque/Cathedral that will relax our mind and spirit to stroll through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter. In the afternoon, after a short drive of about two hours we arrive in Seville. Overnight at the hotel.
SEVILLA
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, a monumental and panoramic visit of the city, including entrance to the Cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world after St. Peter's in Rome. Visit the typical Santa Cruz neighborhood, a natural setting for "Carmen" as well as the place where the myth of "Don Juan" developed. Visit the Maria Luisa Park and the Plaza de España. – Free afternoon to discover different perspectives and specific flavors of this lively city full of light. Accommodation at the hotel. Optional visit to a Flamenco show.
SEVILLA - GRANADA
Breakfast at the hotel and departure heading east through the Route of the Caliphate towards the heart of Andalusia, observing an endless number of olive trees. Arrival in Granada and its incredible and astonishing monumental surroundings, the last bastion of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada until 1492. Visit the world-famous Alhambra complex and the Generalife Gardens, with fountains, gardens, and courtyards that, with their views and sounds, have inspired authors like W. Irving in his "Tales of the Alhambra." Accommodation at the hotel. Optionally, in the evening, a Flamenco Zambra show.
GRANADA - VALENCIA
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for Alicante, the second largest city in the Valencian Community, to reach Valencia, one of the main capitals of the Mediterranean coast, with its modern Architectural Complex of Arts and Sciences consisting of six buildings: Hemisfèric, Umbracle, Museum of Sciences, Oceanogràfic, Palau de les Arts, and Ágora. Valencia is also the birthplace of the internationally known "Paella." Accommodation at the hotel.
VALENCIA - BARCELONA

Explore the main avenues with their impressive modernist buildings by Gaudí and admire his most emblematic works: Casa Milá, La Pedrera, and Casa Batlló, declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit Montjuic Park, offering spectacular views of both the city and the port, the Olympic Ring, and the monument to Columbus. The afternoon is at your disposal to continue discovering the attractions of the city, as well as its varied and exquisite gastronomy. Accommodation at the hotel.
BARCELONA - ZARAGOZA - MADRID
After breakfast at the hotel, departure southwestward through an industrial and agricultural area of certain importance in Europe. Arrival in Zaragoza, the capital of Aragon, situated on the banks of the Ebro River, which is the most voluminous in the Iberian Peninsula. Zaragoza, known as Cesar Augusta during the Roman period, played a very significant role in Spanish history. Free time to visit the impressive architecture of the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. Continuation to Madrid. Accommodation at the hotel.
