Description

BARCELONA
Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation at the hotel.
BARCELONA
Breakfast at the hotel. Meet at our office at Estación del Nord for the Barcelona Highlights tour. A half-day morning tour that will allow you to comfortably and easily explore the city's history and visit some of its most emblematic places. During the first part of the tour, we will take a guided walking tour through the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, the oldest part of the city and its historic center. We will visit Cathedral Square, Sant Felip Neri Square, the Arc de Triomphe, or Sant Jaume Square. During the next part of the tour, we will board an air-conditioned bus for a panoramic tour of Barcelona. We will head to Montjuïc Mountain. Get ready to enjoy incredible views of the city of Barcelona aboard the cable car. Finally, we will make a stop at the MNAC viewpoint to quietly contemplate one of the best panoramic views of the city. On the way back to the office, aboard the bus, we will pass through Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most important streets, and see the facades of iconic buildings by Gaudí such as Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. Afternoon free to enjoy this beautiful city and its surroundings. Accommodation at the hotel. BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – SAN SEBASTIÁN
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Barcelona's "Sants" train station to take the AVE high-speed train to Zaragoza. Arrival in Zaragoza and free time. In the afternoon, we will continue to San Sebastián, one of the most famous tourist destinations where the International Film Festival is held. Accommodation at the hotel.
SAN SEBASTIAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic tour of this city with a French and bourgeois touch, whose landscape is dominated by La Concha Bay and Beach. We will go up to Monte Igueldo, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the city. Rest of the day free. In the afternoon, the possibility of taking an optional visit to the picturesque towns of Biarritz and San Juan de Luz, already in French territory. Accommodation at the hotel.
SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – CASTRO URDIALES – SANTANDER
Breakfast and departure to Bilbao for a panoramic tour and where we will have free time in the esplanade of the Guggenheim Museum to admire this modern architectural work. We will continue towards Castro Urdiales, a typical fishing village where we will have free time. Departure to Santander, a port city nestled between the sea and the mountains and with numerous beaches, such as El Sardinero, one of the best known. We will have free time to walk around this elegant city. Accommodation at the hotel.
SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO
Breakfast. Departure to Santillana, one of the towns with the greatest historical and artistic value in Spain, which houses true architectural treasures, such as the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, the most important jewel of Romanesque art in Cantabria. We will continue to Covadonga, where we will have free time to visit the Sanctuary and the cave with the image of the Virgin. In the afternoon, departure to Oviedo, located on a series of hills at the foot of Mount Naranco and stands out for the beauty of its streets, many of them pedestrian. Its monuments are World Heritage Sites and among them stands out the Cathedral, one of the most important works of Asturian Gothic art. Accommodation at the hotel.
OVIEDO – MONDOÑEDO – LUGO – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast and departure towards the Galician region. On the way to Lugo, stop in Mondoñedo; free time to visit its impressive 12th-century cathedral and taste the delicious "Tarta de Mondoñedo" (Mondoñedo tart). Departure to Lugo and free time to admire the Roman remains it preserves, such as its walls, declared a World Heritage Site. Continue to Santiago de Compostela, whose old town is a World Heritage Site and one of the most important monumental centers in Spain, a Christian pilgrimage center and the end of the Camino de Santiago, originally built by the Roman Empire. Accommodation at the hotel.
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast. Visit to Santiago city, touring Obradoiro Square, and its Cathedral (interior visit) dedicated to St. James the Great. Rest of the day free to continue visiting this university and student city. Accommodation at the hotel.
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RIAS BAJAS – PORTO
Breakfast. Departure towards the most picturesque area of the Galician Rías Bajas (Spanish fjords). Through splendid landscapes, we will arrive at the island of La Toja, universally known for its spa and natural wealth. Free time and continuation along the Arosa estuary on the way to Portugal. Arrival in Porto and accommodation at the hotel.
PORTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Panoramic tour of Porto, considered a World Heritage Site, where we will see the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building, and the Church of Santa Clara. Then, enjoy a different perspective of the city along the Douro River on a cruise and discover the historical heritage by visiting a well-known Port Wine cellar with wine tasting included. Rest of the day free. Accommodation at the hotel.
PORTO
Breakfast and accommodation at the hotel. Free day in this magnificent city on the banks of the Douro. Accommodation at the hotel.
PORTO – COIMBRA – FATIMA
Breakfast. Departure to Coimbra, home to one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado. Free time. Continue to Fátima. Center of the Christian Faith and World Pilgrimage Shrine with its impressive Basilica and the Cova da Iria, where the Virgin Mary appeared. The Chapel of the Apparitions, the heart of the sanctuary, with the tombs of the three shepherds, Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta. In the evening, possibility of attending the candlelight procession. Accommodation at the hotel.
FATIMA – BATALHA – NAZARE – ALCOBAÇA – LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Monastery of Batalha, a masterpiece of Gothic and Manueline style considered a World Heritage Site. We will then proceed to the picturesque fishing village of Nazaré. Free time and continuation to Alcobaça with its Gothic church and Cistercian monastery, dating back to the 12th century, and then Lisbon. Accommodation at the hotel. Optional traditional dinner with Fado show (typical Portuguese folklore).
LISBON
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, city tour of Lisbon, formerly known as Olissipo, through its main squares and avenues, Belem Tower, Jerónimos Monastery (exterior), Monument to the Discoveries... Afternoon free to discover the nostalgic corners of this city such as the Alfama District or take the optional excursion to Sintra and Cascais (World Heritage Site). Accommodation at the hotel.
LISBON – CACERES – MADRID
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Caceres, a UNESCO World Heritage City, with a mix of Romanesque, Islamic, Gothic, and Renaissance architecture. We will stroll through its old town, Medieval Quarter, and its main square. Then, continue to Madrid. Accommodation at the hotel.
